For the first time since the death of Queen Wilhelmina in 1962, the Netherlands has a national day of mourning. Wednesday flags go at half mast and bells sound. Also, a minute's silence is going to be held at the return of the remains of victims of the plane crash in Ukraine.

Throughout the Netherlands Wednesday looks at the fate of the passenger aircraft MH17. Out of respect for the victims public broadcasters don't broadcast any advertising, draws the House debate and Schiphol let air traffic shutdown for a minute. No aircrafts will depart or land at that moment.
