    Klaes Hoekstra Bakker in Bedum.

    Klaes knows how to make of any event in the world a special cake. Should the local brass band need a new horn Klaes will think of something and a delicacy, in shape of the instrument, will be baked. But Klaes also writes books and lectures. In short, a book about management will be published in America. In Brazil, Klaes has set up a bakery in an orphanage and they can make money now. Soon, the same happened in Kabul in Afghanistan. He puts a bakery in a foster home for ostracized women. He teaches them there also bake bread. Last weekend fourth Klaes its 20th anniversary in Bedum and the whole village was on the party. In the morning, a large outdoor breakfast, the proceeds to the KWF. The reason for this was that Klaes his wife a few years ago died of cancer and has written a book about his bereavement.

    Klaes has also found it was about time that there came a Klaes Hoekstra song. He has seven choirs Bedum counts challenged to make it. To make a choice of the most beautiful song, the choirs sang the whole day in the village. In short Klaes is a multifaceted man with many enthusiastic ideas.
