    Episode 11: Zuidlaren - Sand sculpture festival

    In the Prince Bernhard farm in Zuidlaren takes all summer the largest sand sculpture festival in the world instead.

    The Hondsrug is one of the most scenic areas in Drenthe. The area was created in the second part of the ice age and runs along a route of 70 kilomteren from Emmen to Groningen. In 2013 the area was designated European Geopark.

    The Sculpture Park in Zuidlaren is the Hondsrug imaged by means of a sand sculpture festival. 7,000 tons of sand by 25 art nature and foreign transformed into immense sculptures, each with its own meaning. Podium.TV ran the route through the Sculpture Park and bring these works of art in 16 minutes into the picture.
