Tynaarlo ( Drenthe : Tynaorl ) is the name of a small but ancient village at the head of the province of Drenthe. The village is part of the municipality of Tynaarlo , which is named after this small village.
When in January 1998 the merger of the former municipalities Eelde, Vries and Zuidlaren was initially chosen for the new name Zuidlaren. This raised protests in the other two places. Therefore, it was chosen for the name of the small village Tynaarlo.
Tynaarlo is an old village green . The old agricultural character has been retained largely remained in the old town with a large and leafy green. There are not many active farmers in this village anymore. It is now a commuter village with new housing on the outskirts.

The village exists 1200 years in 2020. All residents have started their fundraising activities to make a big party in 2020. Roos talks with different people about it and goes along with a dart club.
