In this episode the movie The Fûke. The Fûke is a Frisian war eponymous to the book of Rink van der Velde, directed by Steven de Jong. Rink van der Velde and Steven de Jong have co-written the screenplay of the film.
While writing, an element was added to the story: the dog Bijke. The official theme song of the film is Wa't ik Bin (2000). Sung by Syb van der Ploeg and Maaike Schuurmans.
This second Frisian film by Steven de Jong is based on the eponymous novel by war anarchist and freethinker Rink van der Velde (1932), for many years by far the most widely read Frisian writer. Unlike the typical war movie is The Fûke a psychological drama.
In Part 1 you see how simple fisherman Jelle Hûn is picked up during the Second World War, because his son is caught in a germ weapon dropping and is also in the resistance.
