    Borger is a town and former municipality in the province of Drenthe. Borger lies on the hill “de Hondsrug” and is known by the largest megaliths of the Netherlands, the D27. In the immediate vicinity of Borger there are two other dolmens.

    In this episode Roos is in the village of Borger.

    The presence of several dolmens indicates an early settlement of the area of Borger. The present village is only first mentioned in the Middle Ages.

    There are hundreds of villages in the northern provinces and all of them are worth to get the attention. Not only the villages are worth but also the northern cities. Who will be next that Roos is talking to?

    Dolmen center

    located close to the dolmen D27, is the new Dolmen center. The foundation Dolmen center was founded in 1959 and exists now for over 50 years. Dolmen center is a museum brand, focusing on the presentation and protection of megaliths and prehistoric monuments - past, present and future -.
