Episode 33: Zuidwolde (Drenthe) - Tin artFirst aired: Thursday, 26 March 2015 at 17.00 hours
Zuidwolde has a long history. Before the beginning of the era there already lived some people in this area. In 1275 the name Suthwalda is first mentioned in writing. No major battles have taken place and the number Zuidwoldigers stayed small.
In this episode Roos is this time in the village of Zuidwolde in the province of Drenthe.
The unique location offers the opportunity to get acquainted with the beautiful Drenthe forests and heaths such as Steenberger and Oosterveld, but also with the special nature reserve Reestdal on the border of Drenthe and Overijssel.
There are hundreds of villages in the northern provinces and all of them are worth to get the attention. Not only the villages are worth the attention but also the northern cities. Who will Roos be talking to this time?
The Tin Art Zuidwolde specializes in sculptures, statues, jewelry, repairing, restorations but also for tin in the interior. Next to the museum is also the museum De Wemme to visit. De Wemme is a compact museum that changes for the most part its collection through fun themed exhibitions every year.
