Prof. dr., Douwe Draaisma is memory researcher at the University of Groningen. He made headlines with his books on our memory, in which he argues that the time is always faster as we get older. His books are also read abroad and he is a welcome guest at international conferences.
Draaisma is fascinated by the potential of our brain, much research is still in its infancy proverbial. Draaisma: "I am fascinated by that strange selectivity of memory. That labyrinth from which suddenly can release something. "
He now has his scientific focus on the phenomenon of dreams in his book Dreams Weaver. How is it that we dream and why we are in the middle of the night sitting up in bed? We dream that we fly, we dream that we are and where all that is good for?
