Grand Prix Motorcross Assen
Saturday 29 and Sunday, August 30th, 2015 on the TT-circuit of Assen is being held the Motocross Grand Prix of the Netherlands. This is one of the official rounds of the FIM Motocross World Championship MXGP, since 1957 the most important off-road motorcycling championship. For this event thousands trucks carrying sand dumped on the TT-circuit. More than 20 nationalities will start the race next weekend in the categories MXGP and MX2.
Forza Master toernooi in Gorredijk
Next weekend for the 17th time the Forza Masters badminton tournament will be held in Kortezwaag in Gorredijk. This annual tournament is always frequented by the big Dutch and Belgian badminton players. There are many parts in various classes on the program.
On Friday, August 28th will be held for the second edition of the Boat Race Bombs in the canals of Groningen. This regatta is organized in the framework of the 400th anniversary of the University. Following the acclaimed boatrace on the Thames, where rowers from Oxford and Cambridge annually compete for the honor, the Universities of Groningen and Münster will build and continue that tradition.

Kozakken Boys - HHC Hardenberg
Last weekend, HHC Hardenberg started the league very well. The team of coach Marcel Groninger beats on their own field ONS Boso Sneek: 3-1. Next weekend HHC will visit Kozakken Boys. That team became champion last season in this league, but they lost last weekend the opening game of RVVH.
On Saturday, August 29th is organized for the forty-sixth time the Frisian running classic Sneek-Bolsward Sneek. The start and finish is, as in previous years, on the track of organizing association Horror in Sneek. In addition to the 20 kilometers there is a 10 and a 5 kilometer walk performance. Several Northern toppers will compete for the medals.
Road to Rio
In this SPORT episode we will follow again an athlete who is working hard on his way to the Olympic games of 2016 in Rio de Janeiro. Today we pay attention to BMX athlete Niek Kimmann from De Lutte. In July he won the world title in Zolder (Belgium). ‘The fact that I won is unbelievable’ was Kimmann his reaction afterwards.
