Kevin Smith – Geef je Over (from Drenthe)

Kevin Smit is from Hoogeveen and has become a versatile artist who performed at the TROS Music Festival and at an evening concert in the Drum Theatre in Hoogeveen in 2011. On October 2nd he will launch his new single 'Free as a bird, which for him is a dream come true. "Geef je Over' was released in 2010 as a unique follow up after 'Duizend en een dingen' and 'Jij' in 2009.

Harry Niehof – Ver van hoes (uit Groningen)

Harry Niehof from Groningen is a songwriter, singer and guitarist who has really found his tune since he started writing songs in is mother language Gronings. The new album 'Twijduustern' has just been released with the melancholy blues ballad 'Ver van Hoes'. Niehof sings relaxed, with a soft voice, a bit like a typical Groninger JJ Cale with a sublime band to support him.

The Common Linnets - Calm after the Storm (from Twente)

The Common Linnets is a band consisting out of Ilse Delange, JB Meijers, Jake Etheridge, Rob Crosby and Matthew Crosby. Along with Waylon they achieved in May 2014 the second place at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen with the song "Calm After the Storm." The Common Linnets derive their name from the 'Kneu', a small singing bird, which stands in relation to the Tukkers often called 'Heikneuters'.

Reizger - Turfstekkersdream (from Friesland)

The band Reizger is a Frisian folk band that makes Frisian and English music. The roots of their music lies in the blues scene, but also in the Irish and English folk music. In 2012 the band released the album 'Blaue Greide' and after that they brought out the more up-tempo song 'Turfstekkersdream'. The band is currently working on a second album with their own work inspired by American folk music.

Harm's Fork - Ukan (from Groningen)

The music of Harm's Fork relies on the swinging organ of Harm Wierda and his ditto incantatory vocals. You may compare Harm's Fonk music with gospel music, because yhe band has a progressive gospel sound. Ukan is mixed by Pim van de Werken, known for his work for Broeder Dieleman and Knalland. Ukan sounds like the band is live: carried by the warm and inspiring personality of Harm Wierda.
