In this episode of SPORT soccer from the Hoofdklasse C: Harkemase Boys - SC Genemuiden. But also a summary of Rijnsburgse Boys - HHC from the Topklasse Zaterdag. Next to that we present the final of the World Championships Korfball and we follow gymnastics sisters Lieke and Sanne Wevers after their success at the World Championships Gymnastics in Glasgow last week's. Furthermore a summary of the handball derby women: DOS - E&O and a report of the Berenloop on Terschelling.
Soccer: Harkemase Boys - SC Genemuiden
By obtaining the first period Harkemase Boys puts a good step towards promotion to the Topklasse. Nevertheless leader Harkema has now three points ahead of number two AZSV. Next Saturday SC Genemuiden is the opponent of Harkema. A tricky opponent for the team of coach Jan Vlap because Genemuiden still came out in the Topklasse last year.
Soccer: Rijnsburgse Boys - HHC Hardenberg
HHC Hardenberg has a changable season. the team of coach Marcel Groninger won against IJsselmeervogels , but lost to lesser teams such as Excelsior Maassluis and RVVH. HHC is now in fifth place and is taking it against the number six, Rijnsburgse Boys next Saturday.
Korfball: World Championships Final Report
Next weekend the World Cup final Korfball will take place in Antwerp. Big favorites for the title are the Netherlands and Belgium teams, which traditionally play in the final. Belgium won the World Cup for the last time in 1991, and then it was just like this year, the host country. Could the Belgians provide a stunt?
In the Eredivisie of the female handball there this weekend a real derby on the program: DOS from Emmer-Compascuum against E & O from Emmen. Both teams camping out in the middle of the Eredivsie. DOS stands in sixth place and E & O in seventh. In short, two teams are evenly matched.
Running: Berenloop Terschelling
Next Sunday, for the nineteenth time the "Berenloop" on Terschelling will take place. Participants can choose to walk the whole or half marathon. The route goes over the island and the runners run through the polders, dunes, woods and the beach. Winner of last year's marathon was Iwan Kamminga from Nieuwe Pekela. Can he extend his title this year?
Road to Rio: Sanne and Lieke Wevers
Lieke and Sanne Wevers have set an excellent performance this year. Lieke reached a golden medal at the European Games and Sanne won a silver medal on the beam during the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Glasgow last Sunday. We have followed to two sisters this week.
