Mooi Wark – Gien Mens Wet Waorum (from Drenthe)
Mooi Wark came to be during the Radio Drenthe program ´muzementen´. It didn't take long for the band to gain the attention of the public and the media. The reactions to their first album were great, quickly after that shows followed as support act of bands like Golden Earring, Rowwèn Heze, De Dijk and their big influences Normaal. As a result of all this attention Mooi Wark got offered a record deal by Telstar.
Frank Buikhuizen ft. Wiebe van Dijk & Samuella – Mooie Stad Aan Het Wad (from Friesland)
In 1994 the original 'Mooie Stad Aan Het Wad' came out by Wiebe van Dijk Superband. The idea to put the Harlinger anthem in a new coat came in 2015, to bring different generations together. Frank Buikhuizen and Gerben Brouwer got togehter to make the idea happen. This resulted in a high quality house beat.
Danny Diego – Oyalela (from Friesland)
Before Danny made his TV debut at Utopia he'd been a horeca specialist and mode lfor years. In the North Danny has made name for himself by his way of working and his hospitality. Danny is a very social person and a professional entertainer. Danny doesn't care if he has to sing at a bar of that he has to sing in costume, he stays unique in his ways and doesn't get out of the way of anything.
Bas Vanderlinde – In Your World (from Groningen)
In a period of about seven years VanderLinde made four albums. These albums gained good reviews in Germany and the Netherlands amongst other countries and the video's were broadcasted on multiple TV channels. VanderLindes music characterizes itself by being pure, open, recognisable and surprising at the same time.
Bufu Sanna – Music To My Soul (from Groningen)
Bufu Sanna wants to be heard. For her it's not about the money or gaining fame, she wants to move people. When she sings, she sings with feeling. If she sees people being moved by her music it´s moving to her as well and that's what she wants. Finding and gaining apprectiation is her goal, that gives her satisfaction.
