In 'Muziek uit het Noorden' (Music from the North) video clips are broadcasted from artists from the North of the Netherlands. Well known and lesser known artists come along. With a weekly dose of video clips, with something for everyone! In this episode:
Pieter van der Zweep – Zal de liefde winnen (uit Groningen)
Pieter is in his element when he can express himself through music. This doesn't go unnoticed, because the singer has been getting every audiences attention from a very young age. In October 2015 his long expected and awaited single 'Zal De Liefde Winnen' is released. This banging pop song is the precursor from his Dutch debut album that Pieter is working on now.
Toycar Taxi – Pictures (uit Drenthe)
Toycar Taxi is a pop-rock band fromed in the summer of 2013 and is best described as a power trio with surprising melodies and catchy pop tunes. The three young guys put a lot of time and effort in perfectionising their live shows, which results in flawless performances.
Vangrail – Wie heb jij bevrijd (uit Friesland)
Vangrail has been touring the many festivals, concert venues and tent parties in our country since 2005. Last year, the band performed 139 times, spread all across the country. Most venues are sold out and Vangrails performances are famous because of the energy and dynamics the band brings, with a mix of covers and their own songs.
Evert Wolters – Dans (uit Drenthe)
Evert Wolters was born and raised in Emmen since 1990. After his education the idea came to mind to start a music career. He got himself a music installation and went looking for his first single to release. He met producer Martin Sterken who had exactly what he was looking for in a debut single. Now, he mostly wants to expand his stage experience and perform as often as he can and keep making more songs.
Jayh – Mooie dag (uit Friesland)
Jaouad Ait Taleb Nassar, better known as Jayh, has been involved with music for a long time. In the church he and his mom visit he's learned to play piano, keyboard and bass guitar. He starts singing in 2002, when rapper Rocks asks him to record a demo for a new THC-Song, he does this thinking it's gonna be re-recorded by a real singer but Rocks keeps the demo as it is. From that moment on Jayh started thinking more seriously about a career in music. He's worked with a lot of great artists such as The Partysquad and Gers Pardoel.
