In Toneelmeesters we take a look behind the scenes and this week we do so at Stadsschouwburg in Groningen. We talk to junior programmer, Wouter Bakker and he give us a tour around this beautiful theatre.
Stadsschouwburg is known as the main theatre stage of Groningen. The Stadsschouwburg is housed in a beautiful building, designed by Frederik Willem van Gendt and Pieter Hugo Vogel in 1883. The main hall of the theatre can hold about 750 visitors. We meet junior programmer Wouter Bakker and he gives us a guided tour through this historical building. In de 'Grote Zaal' we see the large stage of Opera2Day . We speak with Ronald Tebra , chief engineer of Opera2Day. During our tour we meet programmer Henk Kuiper. He tells us a theater-tip that you really shouldn't miss!
