    Coming from a working class background, his father was a cane cutter, noticed that Jansma was very good with the language and loved stories and history. At a young age a detective was born that devoured the books of his grandfather, but also could tell you everything about it.

    That narrative eventually brought him both in front of the classroom and in journalism. His highlight was his radio report skûtsjesilen involved, and in a small boat brought all skûtsjes by tacking between the food and the show for the listener to life, in which expletives are not spared. Although initially no connection with the pleasure sailing, he grew to become the ringmaster of this Frisian nautical event. Meanwhile Jansma has left the turbulent life and writes books about the construction and destruction of ships, but who hears him talk about the water sloshing.
