    Episode 25: De Lawei

First aired: Wednesday, 9 March 2016 at 17.32 hours

In Toneelmeesters, host Arno van der Heyden visits theatre de Lawei in Drachten.

De Lawei is one of the biggest theatres in the Netherlands and its audience and performing artists experience the theatre as very hospitable. Arno gladly makes use of that hospitality and takes a look in 'the livingroom of Drachten'. The theatre was officially opened in 1960, after a renovation they even reopened it last year. In de Lawei's café, Arno chats with programmer Inge Imelman, whereafter she shows him around some of the many rooms the building has. In one of the theatre halls they're performing the kids play 'De heks en de zandtekenaar' (the witch and the sanddrawer). Arno speaks with the narrator of the play, actrice Joske Koning.
