Today in Puur Noord the talkshow is dominated by the 48 Hour Film Project, Filmapalooza in Atlanta and with music from the brothers ROO.
48 Hour Film Project
At the table the organizers of this film project in Leeuwarden, Bart Dokter, Anton Felipa and the creators of the winning team 'Kokosnoten' of their movie Ritus. The film had a highly possision at the world finals in Atlanta. More than 128 films from 80 countries participated. Ritus was one of the winning films in Leeuwarden. The team 'Kokosnoten' received the award for Audieunce Award, Best Directing, Best Writing and Best Film. It was the first time that this team participated in this movie project.
In the summer of 2006, the brothers Alfred and Jaap ROO play their first practice sessions in the band Titograd. The following year, 2007, they work hard with writing songs and getting gigs. The band plays pop music that reminds you of the 60s. Halfway through 2013 they get into the studio and ROO presented the album "Heart of Life" at The Living Room in Zwolle. The year 2014 the duo is mainly focused on writing new material. In 2015 ROO plays as support act of Douwe Bob and the band is working on their second studio album. On April 1st of 2016 they will present the album "Hunger for the storm” in Poppodium Hedon in Zwolle.
