Diana Monissen is chairman of De Friesland Zorgverzekeraar. She has a tremendous drive to improve care.
"My mother has set up his own business at a time when it was not really," says Monissen. "The hard work I have of her." But Monissen also know very well what it is to be patient. "I have two years of my life spent in a hospital, including back problems." She also worked as a student in a nursing home for disabled young people. "All the people I knew his deceased there," she says. "When I knew there could be so much better." The common thread in these improvements, according Monissen of health care should focus more on the customer. "Give patients more in control. And remember: what you want yourself as a patient? Caring knows changes Monissen. "Care has become a global problem. We need to look at the changes in the demand for care, the health care providers of the future look like? What is the status of the patient? "Solutions for today according to the businesswoman not enough for the future. Hospitals and care would have to be much more enterprising. "Entrepreneurs are also trying to answer a market need. And there are so many things we all can tackle now. "
