Episode 117: Andrea Möller, Hendrik Hachmer and Andreas Kort.First aired: Thursday, 7 April 2016 at 17.00 hours
Today in Puur Noord we philosophize how it is to go across borders, we talk about the exhibition "Geen Commentaar" and Lopen voor Lyme.
Nacht van de Filosofie
Andrea Möller knows it all because she organizes the ninth edition of the Night of Philosophy of Friesland. On Saturday, April 9th the opening is done by Tresoar and the Historisch Centrum Leeuwarden. This year's theme is "Over Grenzen”. What are the limits actually, and do we need them, and how do we use them? How and when can we defend them? When do we cross borders? In this time when we are dealing with phenomena such as immigration and attacks by fanatics, but also with western meddling in oriental civilizations, we look for answers to these questions.
Henry Hachmer is director of the Veenkoloniaal museum in Veendam. Now there is an exhibition of propaganda posters from the Second World War. Art as propaganda and each poster has a story to tell. The posters may ward spectacularly designed and developed by various then-known artists. Partly anonymous, but several designers were so proud of their work that their names adorn the posters. They literally worked in service of the occupation and were affiliated to the Chamber of Culture; In short, they were siding with the occupation group.

Lopen voor Lyme
Andrew Short has chronic Lyme disease for over 14 years. Now when the summer comes, we go out and go for a walk in the woods. But in the woods we must be careful not to get any tick bite. On the 9th of April, there is a great share being held by Lopen voor Lyme to draw more attention for this disease.
