In Muziek uit het Noorden videoclips are shown of musicians from the Northern Netherlands. Upcoming names and new songs, as well as classics will be presented. In this episode:
Ancora – Hoog in 't noorden (from Overijssel)
In 2013 the Netherlands meets with the band Ancora for the first time. The singers Patrick Jongschaap, Harm Wolters and Patrick van Bree draw the attention with their catchy mix of Shanty, Irish folk and pop music. Ancora brings songs of the sea and thus they experience moments of success after success.
Triple – Stop (from Drenthe)
A girl band from our home town; Triple. Three beautiful women, each with their own sound. The girl group consists of Cassidy Roeks, Nina Meyer and Melissa Scherpen. Beautiful girls they are for sure, because Melissa Scherpen won Miss Teen of the Netherlands last year. All three girls have participated in the show "Bloed, Zweet en Tranen" and now they form the group Triple.
Harten 10 – Dat was vroeger (from Drenthe)
During a major event in Dalfsen singer Martien and singer Tineke were getting into contact with each other and thus arose the idea to record a duet together. Their music characterizes the Dutch pop sound, that's why this duo is so loved by many Dutch folk events.
Ede Staal – 't Hoogelaand (from Groningen)
If you say Ede Staal, you think of the icon of the Groningen music. When Ede Staal releases the song 'Mien Toentje" in 1982, he really breaks through as the legendary folk singer. Now, after his death, many reminisce over his influence on music in Groningen.
Jelle B – Alles dat ben jij (from Friesland)
On Friday, April 8th a new clip and song is launched by Jelle B. Written with Jeff Zwart (guitar player of Dilana and Nick/Simon) and Nico Outhuijse (drummer of de Kast and producer of The New Shining, Twarres and Jelle B). And the three of them sure made something beautiful!
