Episode 129: Soccer, hockey, handball, futsal and our monthly overview

First aired: Monday, 2 May 2016 at 17.00 hours

In this episode of SPORT: summaries of Urk - Harkemase Boys and ONS Sneek – HHC Hardenberg. Furthermore, the handball derby between E&O and Hurry-Up. Also hockey: GHHC - Nijmegen. Futsal: KTP Nieuw Roden – OS Lusitanos and our monthly overview of April.

    Soccer: Urk - Harkemase Boys
Harkemase Boys have had two chances to win the championship, however they were dependent on vv Staphorst. Now their destiny is in their own hands. If the team of coach Jan Vlap wins against Urk, the men from Harkema are champions in the Hoofdklasse Saturday.

Soccer: ONS Sneek - HHC Hardenberg
Anything is possible in the Topklasse Saturday. Four teams could become champion, but the match hasn't been decided in the bottom ranks either. After the victory on Barendrecht, the gap between HHC Hardenberg and frontrunner Katwijk became smaller and the championship is within reach again. ONS Sneek obtained good results against Kozakken Boys and Katwijk, however the team of Richard Karrenbelt isn't safe yet and needs to keep fighting.

    Hockey: GHHC – Nijmegen
The ladies of GHHC are experiencing the season of their dreams. Last week the team guaranteed themselves a spot in the play-offs, to get promoted to the Hoofdklasse. The women from Groningen are ranked second. If the team wins against frontrunner Nijmegen, GHHC becomes the number one; next week they could end the season against De Warande, which would make them champions in the Promotion division.

    Handball: Hurry Up – E&O
In Drenthe, the handball derbies between Hurry-Up and E&O always remain special. Both teams didn't perform too well last week. Hurry-Up lost against Aalsmeer and won't be able to participate in the finals. E&O suffered a humiliating defeat against Quintus. Getting qualified for the BENE-League becomes a difficult task now. Both teams need this victory.
