First there was a school and around the school was build a village. This is a remarkable start for a village, because usually there is first a village and flater a school.
In this episode, Roos is in the village of Nieuw-Roden. Nieuw-Roden (Drenthe: Nij-Roon) is a village in the province of Drenthe; municipality Noordenveld.
Roos goes along in the village of Nieuw-Roden where they play Carpet Bowls.
Carpet Bowls was originally an Australian sports and somewhat resembles to "Jeu de Boules" of France. Around 1980 the sport has spread to Europe. Carpet Bowls is played inside on a mat of 8 by 2 meters. There are two teams of two people playing against each other. One team with four black and the other with four brown balls. The aim of the game is, as with "Jeu de Boules" is to roll the balls as close to the jack, the white target ball.
There are hundreds of villages in the northern provinces and all of them are worth to get the attention. Inbeeld with Roos. Who will be next who Roos talks to?
