Town of Saints - Miners Song (from Groningen)

The Dutch/Finnish indie folk band Town of Saints is based in Groningen, the Netherlands, but isn’t at home very often. The Saints started out as street-musicians when the couple Harmen Ridderbos (vocals/guitar) and Heta Salkolahti (violin/vocals) met each other in Austria, and evolved into the modern indiefolk-band later on when other musicians joined the collective.

Drenthe progrockband Hangover Paradise plays their own work, inspired by the music of the great bands from the seventies: Genesis, Yes, Marillon and Pink Floyd. A repertoire, where the adventurous, creative and unpredictable of the decade had to be the guiding principle: Symphonic progressive rock with influences from the 'straight' rock, blues and pop music.

Souldada - Salsabern (from Friesland)

Greek Copacabana beach on the Frisian. SoulDada breaks the barriers between genres and over again creates exciting and interesting musical fusions: bossa nova on a North Sea island or Greek Laika, sang in Frisian.
