Roos is visiting the small town of IJlst. She makes a trip through the town where she starts with a walk, then we take a boat trip, a tour at the Nooitgedagt museum and the tour ends in Houtzaagmolen "the Rat".

In the museum Nooitgedagt they are given a tour. The center is located in the first real factory building Jarigs Jan Nooitgedagt, located in the picturesque town Elfsteden IJlst. Here begins Jan Nooitgedagt Jarigs in 1865 with the production of wooden skates and planing. Over the years, this activity is becoming more extensive and the range with tools, skates and wooden toys.
Through town IJlst runs the River Geeuw, in the town merges with the river Ee.
Geeuw is part of the joint Sneekermeer - Sneek - IJlst - Heeg - Heeger and, especially in the summer, a busy waterway.
On the banks of the Geeuw, the ancient waterway between IJlst and Sneek lies an unique sawmill "the Rat" which is still in production. Roos ends her journey through IJlst at this sawmill.
