Toneelmeesters | Episode 5 | Der Aa Theater Groningen

Episode 5: Der Aa Theater Groningen

First aired: Wednesday, 14 October 2015 at 17.32 hours

In Toneelmeesters, we get to take a look behind the scenes at both large well-known theaters and small unknown venues. This week we are guests at Der Aa theatre in Groningen.

The Der Aa- Theatre is owned by De Grunneger Sproak foundation. In 2010 was the 'verainen' turned in to a foundation. Since then De Grunnger Sproak operates the building themselves. The theatre got a new function: offering a stage to all sorts of culture, Gronings in particular. The name was changed to Der Aa- Theatre because all cultural events are welcome, not only Gronings ones. During our visit to this theatre we learn how a technicus rose to be a director of the theatre and we'll  get a taste of the show 'Theatereuilleton uut de hoogte'. And, as every week, a tip of the program.
