Episode 94: Music from the NorthFirst aired: Saturday, 14 November 2015 at 17.00 hours
In 'Muziek uit het Noorden' (Music from the North) video clips are broadcasted from artists from the North of the Netherlands. Well known and lesser known artists come along. With a weekly dose of video clips, with something for everyone! In this episode:
Kira – Helping Hand (from Groningen)
Kira Dekker can be described best as enthousiastic, busy and energetic. Her songs are not about charged issues. That's what makes her different. 'I think differently about how songs are put together, I often write in letter format'. Kira participated on the third season of 'De Beste Singer Songrwriter van Nederland'.
Tangarine – Out of Sight (from Drenthe)
The brothers Sander and Arnout Brinks have been making music together since they were twelve. They are influenced by folk tradition from the sixties. One of the highlights in their carreer is playing Lowlands Festival in 2014. Another highlight is that Tangarine was the house band on De Wereld Draait Door this year.
Marlene Bakker & Chris Bernhart – Waddenzee (from Groningen)
Marlene Bakker is an outstanding appearance in the Gronings circuit. She is blessed with a beautifull voice and sings Adele in Gronings amongst other things. She found her own spot in dialectpop and Dutch music scene thanks that to her translations and special work.
Zipp – Ik geloof in jou en mij (from Friesland)
Zipp is a new Frisian band, formed around singer Sipke de Boer. He played as a guitar player in multiple bands but most of all he was a singer. Sipke is very versatile. Not only does he compose for Zipp but he also writes music for other artists and theater productions. Zipp is an energetic band, which consists of experienced musicians. When they play live they play self written Nederpop.
Audio Adam – Blame it on me (from Groningen)
Audio Adam consists of four normal young lads who only want to make music and spend as much time as they can doing that. They've already played as support acts for Ilse Delange, Scouting For Girls and Go Back To The Zoo. The band also played at Eurosonic Noorderslag, performed in ´De Wereld Draait Door´ and were crowned 3FM Serious Talent. All songs of their debut album ´This Is Our Home´ were embraced by 3FM.
