Tangarine – Christmas Should Never Be Spent Alone (from Drenthe)
Since they were twelve the brothers Sander and Arnout Brinks have been making music together. They are influenced by the folk traditions from the sixties. One of the highlights of their career is their performance at Lowlands 2014. Another highlight of that year was that Tangarine got to play in De Wereld Draait Door as house band every month.
Swinder – Kerstmis in Stad (from Groningen)
Born and bred in Groningen with a vocabulary that reached no further than 'moi' singer songwriter Bas Schröder didn't want to hear about the Groninger dialect for years. That takes about a small decennia until hearing the Groninger singer Ede Staal and then he's won over: Gronings can be very beautiful, if you use it to say or sing beautiful things.
Pieter van der Zweep – Vrolijk Kerstfeest (from Groningen)
Pieter is totally in his element when he can express himself through music. That doesn't go unnoticed since the singer has been getting the attention of every audience from a very young age on. In october 2015 his long expected new single 'Zal De Liefde Winnen' is released. This bashing pop song is the precursor of the debut album that he's working on now.
Bouke – Merry Christmas Everyone (from Drenthe)
Bouke was born in Emmen. He sang along to the songs his father played on his accordeon from a very young age. His big idols are Jackie Wilson, Elvis Presly and Tom Jones. 'If I can make this many people happy with my shows, I've got the best I can get because my music comes from my heart'.
Mooi Wark – Hey, Hey, Die Kerstman (from Drenthe)
Mooi Wark came to be during the Radio Drenthe program ´muzementen´. It didn't take long for the band to gain the attention of the public and the media. The reactions to their first album were great, quickly after that shows followed as support act of bands like Golden Earring, Rowwèn Heze, De Dijk and their big influences Normaal. As a result of all this attention Mooi Wark got offered a record deal by Telstar.
