    In this episode of ZwartWit Sybe Schaap joins us, philosopher with both feet in the clay.

    Sybe Schaap is the son of a pioneer farmer from the North East polder, born in Lemmer. Because of his fathers sudden death he, as the oldest son, had to take over the farm. He was attracted to life on the farm but eventually chose a job as a philosophy teacher and got promoted to by guest high teacher in Kiev and Prague.

    As a manager and politicus Sybe Schaap has let the world hear him. He became chairman from the union of waterworks and after that mayor in Overijssel. Nowadays he's an MP for the VVD.

    Schaap wrote the book 'Het rancuneuze gif' in which he analyses the unpleasanty and anger from the Dutch people. An anger that became visible to the public when Pim Fortuin rose. The book hit like a bom in the political Den Haag and both Geert Wilders and Marc Rutte took their distance from it. Schaap wanted to open people's eyes with this book in these confusing times.
