    Episode 17: ROO

First aired: Friday, 4 March 2016 at 18.00 hours

In SoundCHECK we follow the brothers ROO. On April 1rst their new album will be released and Podium.TV gets a sneak preview.

In the summer of 2006, the brothers Alfred and Jaap ROO played their first practice sessions in the band Titograd. The following year, 2007, they worked hard on writing their songs and did many performances. The band plays pop music that reminds you of the 60s. The music does not go unnoticed and the band plays many gigs in the north of Overijssel and Drenthe.

Podium.TV joined the brothers ROO along in Rouveen. During their rehearsal Douwe Kool discusses with them who their inspiration is to write new songs about. On April 1st  the new album from ROO appears and we might already get a sneak preview. ROO tells us what it feels like to play as the support act of Douwe Bob. We also follow the brothers to their performance in Stadscafé BLIJ in Zwolle.

    About this program:

Before a musician on stage is, the written press, composed, rehearsed and just before the gig the time comes for the Soundcheck!

Soundcheck is an music on Podium.TV. We are visiting a wide variety of musicians from the north. (Cover) bands, DJs, Dutch singers and singer-songwriters; musical northern Netherlands is discussed. Where they rehearse and how this is going to? How do you write a new song? And how does a CD presentation?

So we end up in old garages, nostalgic rehearsal rooms, but also in professional studios and tasty busy music venues. Additionally, you can every week to enjoy a wide variety of video clips and a classic "golden oldies" from the old box.

Tip the editors when you know a great band and want more of it as a groupie know.
