Toneelmeesters | Episode 29 | VRIJDAGtheater Groningen

    Episode 29: VRIJDAGtheater Groningen

First aired: Wednesday, 6 April 2016 at 17.32 hours

Today Toneelmeesters visits a very interactive theatre, because at VRIJDAG the audience can watch theatre, and DO theatre.

In addition to providing amateur artists with a platform to showcase their work, VRIJDAGtheater hosts drama lessons and workshops as well. VRIJDAG owns three different locations. Today Arno van der Heyden is at the Noorderbuitensingel in Groningen, where the Prinsentheater used to be. The building has one big and one small theatre room, with respectively 90 and 60 to 70 chairs. Cosy rooms, where small-scale theatre, dance or music performances are frequently held. Arno talks about this with programmer Rosmarijn Kok. He further explores the theatre, while groups of children are enjoying their drama lessons at VRIJDAGtheater.
